The lamps by Bergontwerp are manually produced in his studio. They are made from the very high quality ceramic material bone china, which becomes translucent when fired at high temperatures. This material is also extremely hard and durable (think of the famous English tableware) and has a beautiful matte ivory-white color. The light that passes through it however is uniquely soft and warm.

Each lamp receives its own specific marks in the process of casting. This gives each lamp it’s individual ‘drawing’ that is only revealed when the light is turned on. In addition the finishing and the firing process affect the final form. Each lamp is therefore unique.
